Michl | 9. September 2017On the second day the ladies jumped on the feature card. Guided by camera team and spectators Natalie Holloköi from Switzerland defended the lead with another solid round of +3 (total +8). Tied in second place sitting Eva Kralova (CZ) due to a much better game than the day before and Austrian girl Sonja Palmetshofer on a total of +20.
The MPO leadcard saw a thrilling battle between Swedens Tomas Rosenqvist and the local youngster Laurenz Schaurhofer, who was in the lead by two strokes after yesterday’s round 1. The first half of the round went better for Tomas, who indeed was annoyed about his first bogey in the tournament, but still was on -4 half of his round, while Laurenz fell back with just even par at this point. But it was the second half of round 2 when the young gun showed up again and finished with a round score of -6 and a total score of -14. That means a one stroke lead ahead of Rosenqvist who scored a -7 today, that sums up in a total score of -13.
Krystof Novak from Czech Republic (-8) and Austrian junior Bonaventura Amann (-5) improved massively compared to yesterday. This brought Novak in third place just two strokes behind the lead with a total of -12. Amann’s round of -5 keeps the chance to finish the tourney within the top ten athletes alive. He now sits in a tied 11th place.
The crowd is still waiting for the tournament’s first eagle and ace. Last chance tomorrow on round 3, that starts again at 9:30. Prize giving ceremony is scheduled for 15:30.
